Having been a keen photographer for many years, since the age of seven to be exact. I decided to start freelancing in 1991. My first submission of work to a company was four medium format (6 x 7cm) transparencies to a calendar company in early 1992, of which they accepted and used two of them.
I had switched to a medium format (6 x 7cm) outfit in early 1992, as I felt the bigger format had much more scope for the type of photography I do, over the 35mm format in those days. The bigger format was far better for enlarging, and in those days most publishers preferred, I still like using the medium format film for certain subjects.
However, in October 2006 I invested in a 10.2 megapixel digital outfit. Have found it excellent. With the various lenses I have added, being more versatile than the medium format, also far more versatile than 35mm film was. It has increased the subjects I now shoot.
In November 2008, I invested in my second digital camera. A 12.1megapixel Full Frae model. It is extremely good for low light work.
I specialise in the following : Gardens, Close up, Flowers, Various Still Life and Special Effect, Landscape & Seascape, Cities, Towns & Villages & Wildlife. Also have done much Portraiture & Lifestyle Portraiture. Plus some food photography.
